Job Description

Overview:

The Data Entry Clerk plays a crucial role in the organization by accurately inputting and maintaining data for efficient recordkeeping and information management. This position is responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of data which is essential for effective business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately input and maintain data into the database system
  • Verify and correct data to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Perform regular data backups to prevent information loss
  • Sort and organize documents for data entry
  • Conduct data cleaning and validation to identify and rectify errors
  • Generate reports and extract data as required
  • Handle confidential information with integrity and discretion
  • Adhere to data entry standards and procedures
  • Communicate with internal teams to verify data integrity
  • Assist in data analysis and quality assurance activities
  • Update and maintain data entry procedures and documentation
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve departmental goals
  • Identify and suggest process improvements to enhance data accuracy and efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations
  • Resolve data discrepancies and issues in a timely manner

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a data entry clerk or similar position
  • Proficient in data entry and management software
  • Excellent typing speed and accuracy
  • Strong attention to detail and errorspotting capabilities
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
  • Good organizational and timemanagement skills
  • Basic knowledge of data analysis and reporting
  • Strong problemsolving and analytical abilities
  • Understanding of data protection regulations and best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment
  • Basic understanding of database management systems
