Job Title: Automation Technician

Location: Elkhart IN

Job Description:

• Assist with items such as the assembly of electrical cabinets termination of wires routing cables and installing components (sensors etc.) within a work cell.
• Ability to read and follow electrical schematics. The candidate should be able to follow callouts on electrical schematics.
• Performance of basic mechanical assembly of components and assemblies. Assist in the assembly and installation of mechanical components such as mounting plates brackets work cell subassemblies robotic endofarm tooling and machine guarding.
• Read and follow basic mechanical drawings in the execution of equipment build and assembly. Candidate would be able to read basic mechanical part drawings as well as mechanical assembly drawings.
• Works closely with internal crossfunctional teams contractors suppliers and outside vendors to achieve desired results.
• Work as part of a functional team under the direction of the assigned project manager in the timely execution of projects. Includes providing status updates for assigned tasks and activities.
• Develop and refine skills related to robotics controls safety systems to support both project execution and training of operational staff.
• Travel will be necessary.

Qualification:

• BS in Engineering or MS in Engineering (preferred).
