Job Description

Purpose of the role
The purpose of this role is to lead the validation and onsite commissioning processes develop test/use cases and create automation scripts for robot testing. This role involves collaborating with crossfunctional teams to configure and troubleshoot robots provide different levels of support and ensure continuous improvement in testing procedures. Additionally the manager will mentor and train team members conduct performance reviews and foster a positive work environment. The role aims to enhance team performance resolve grievances and recognize outstanding work ensuring seamless deployment and operation of mobile robotics solutions.
Technical Skills Required
  • Experience with Robotic Hardware: Proficiency in handling motors actuators sensors (e.g. Lidar IMU) and embedded boards.
  • Knowledge of Robotic Applications: Familiarity with standard concepts practices and procedures in robotic applications.
  • Testing and Debugging: Expertise in manual and automated testing including blackbox testing system troubleshooting and various test measurement techniques.
  • Embedded Systems and Firmware: Knowledge and experience in testing embedded systems firmware and hardware.
  • Operating Systems and Frameworks: Proficient in using the Linux operating system and the ROS (Robot Operating System) framework.
  • Hardware and Software Integration: Experience with hardware such as PLC and Arduino and skills in regression integration endurance component/system and user/field acceptance testing.
  • Programming and Scripting: Ability to create automation scripts and tools for robot testing.
  • Documentation and Process Improvement: Skilled in creating onsite commissioning checklists process documentation and continuously improving testing procedures.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with crossfunctional teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and debugging issues providing timely and effective solutions.

  • Keen eye for detail to ensure thorough testing and accurate documentation.
  • Ability to resolve team grievances promptly and escalate issues when necessary.

  • Ability to understand team members strengths weaknesses and professional and personal goals.

Job Responsibilities
1 Establish the process for Validation and Onsite Commissioning
2 Creation of onsite commissioning checklist and documentation of the process. Creation of test/use cases based on Mobile Robotics solutioning onsite. Site specific release planning with defect mapping
3 Creation of automation script/tools for robot testing
4 Support production/mechanical engineering team for configuration of robots
5 Delivering highpriority offsite and onsite support for any encountered issues with a focus on providing L1 and L2 support.
6 Assuming responsibility for troubleshooting and rectifying any bugs identified during project implementation ensuring resolution under the L1 and L2 support framework.
7 Follow and improve the testing process/ procedures.
8 Provide job enrichment through an effective delegation of tasks.
9 Support in creation of product and project documentation
10 Provide guidance mentorship & support (technical/emotional) to the team to achieve performance targets; ensure support from crossfunctional teams if required.
11 Conduct daily performance reviews as per the frequency of each team member and provide effective feedback to sustain/improve performance
12 Provide development opportunities to the team by nominating them to relevant training programs conducting onthejob technical sessions for the team.
13 Address team grievances promptly escalating to HRBP for resolution if necessary while also recognizing and rewarding employees for their exemplary work in front of senior management and through the R&R platform

Minimum Qualification
B. Tech/ M. Tech in Computer Science Electrical Mechatronics or related fields Instrumentation
and Control Engineering or related fields

Years of experience 712 years of experience in Manual and Automated testing
