Network Operations Manager

Musthave skills: 2 y of exp with design deploy and maintain computer networks including cloud networks; network security exp; MFN2 and virtual routing and forwarding (VRF); routers switches firewalls and networking technologies; exp with cloud service models (IaaS PaaS SaaS); virtualization; cloud storage solutions; governmental exp Technical certifications Microsoft Visio and Excel.

Seniority on the skill/s required on this requirement: Mid.

Additional information: The candidate should be able to provide an ID if the interview is requested. The candidate interviewing must be the same individual who will be assigned to work with our client.

Requirements:

• Availability to work 100% at the Clients site in Tallahassee FL (required);
• IT work experience including managing team(s) responsible for technical service for hardware/software engineering support and maintenance in LAN/WAN and multiplatform environment (7 years);
• Experience working as Network Operations Manager;
• Experience with MFN2 and virtual routing and forwarding (VRF);
• Experience with routers switches firewalls and networking technologies;
• Experience with the interactions between servers operating systems databases networks and storage with the ability to understand how changes in one area affect the others;
• Experience with security principles and best practices;
• Experience with cloud service models (IaaS PaaS SaaS) virtualization and cloud storage solutions;
• Experience with cloudspecific network security such as IAM and encryption;
• Experience with Microsoft Visio.

Preferred:

• Experience with Fortinet products;
• Technical certifications.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Responsible for network operations and service levels for data and voice networking equipment software and network processing devices;
• Plans for human resources equipment arrangements electrical power and cable requirements for telecommunications and information processing equipment;
• Supports MFN2 (MyFlorida Network 2) connections for all sites working with the MFN2 network operations center MFN2 vendors and the DivTel as needed;
• Maintaining computer networks and systems including software firewalls VPNs routers and other physical hardware;
• Updating security/network software to keep data and communications protected;
• Provide network support for the organizations information systems and peripheral equipment such as servers printers storage devices mobile devices network devices and VoIP or Collaboration solution;
• Occasional travel to the other sites within Florida to complete any necessary IT system work and enduser support
