Distribution Specialist - III

Location: Oceanside 100% on Site.
Hours: MondayFriday 7am4pm (rare occasion for any weekend work; would have advanced notice if it occurs).
Duration: 18 months

General Role Description: perform activities to support manufacturing operations product shipping and material receiving to ensure inventory accuracy and timely supply of materials to manufacturing production suites to meet demands. This role will apply to all three functions within the Materials Management department from receiving kitting and shipping activities.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Perform and participate in the materials management operations and activities to support Production operations team and other internal customers
Manage the daytoday assignments of warehouse job tasks and monitor completion of required activities
Receive incoming shipments of nonGMP/GMP materials and equipment following established procedures
Dispense and kit GMP materials to support production operations
Prepare and deliver raw materials samples supplies etc. to various departments as needed ensuring proper procedure and temperature range are followed
Maintain accurate inventory of GMP warehouse materials
Performing inventory cycle counts
Perform accurate ERP transactions
Monitor Kanban area to ensure optimum replenishment of materials
Communicate inventory discrepancies to warehouse operations team and escalate when appropriate
Crosstrain in all areas of the warehouse operations
Pick Pack and Ship finished product materials and equipment as required per established policies and procedures
Ensure individual employee training is uptodate
Adhere to all safety procedures and GMPs requirements at all times
Keep warehouse operation clean and inspection ready at all times
Assist in the revision of area SOPs
Fork Lift certified active certification is preferred but ability to recertify is allowed (must have held a certification in the past). Forklift Duties will be 12 times per week. Training will be provided onsite.

Requirements:
High School diploma and some college or vocational training in science engineering or facilities preferred
At least 3 to 5 years of experience in a pharmaceutical/biotechnology Materials Management GMP distribution/warehouse operations manufacturing and supply chain
Must be able to operate equipment such as a forklift and an electric pallet jack
Must be able to lift carry push and/or pull 100 lb. of equipment or supplies
Must be able to squat bend kneel climb and/or reach for 75% of the day
Must be able to stand walk and/or move about for 75% of the day
Previous experience in Logistics Distribution Warehousing and Supply Chain preferred
In depth knowledge of warehouse operations in a GMP as well as a nonGMP setting
Cold chain knowledge and experience in a pharmaceutical or medical setting
Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills are essential in this collaborative work environment
Comfortable in a fastpaced environment with minimal direction and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities
