1. Financial Management:

• Oversee financial transactions including accounts payable accounts receivable and payroll.
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions related to vessel operations crew salaries and other expenses.
• Prepare financial statements balance sheets and profit and loss statements.

1. Tax Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with Indian taxation regulations for seafarers including income tax TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) and other relevant provisions.
• Handle taxrelated queries from crew members.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and communicate implications to relevant stakeholders.

1. Corporate Taxation:

• Manage corporate tax matters including filing annual returns advance tax payments and tax planning.
• Collaborate with external auditors and tax consultants to ensure accurate tax assessments.
• Monitor tax credits exemptions and incentives applicable to the maritime industry.

1. Financial Reporting:

• Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial reports for management review.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends costsaving opportunities and areas for improvement.
• Present financial performance updates to senior management.

1. Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Develop and monitor budgets for vessel operations maintenance and crew expenses.
• Forecast financial requirements and recommend costeffective strategies.
• Assist in financial planning for fleet expansion and capital investments.

1. Internal Controls:

• Implement robust internal controls to prevent fraud errors and mismanagement.
• Conduct periodic audits of financial processes and recommend improvements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

1. Collaboration:

• Work closely with other departments (operations legal crewing) to align financial processes.
• Liaise with external stakeholders including banks insurers and regulatory authorities.

• Bachelor s degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
• Professional certification (e.g. CA CPA) preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in maritime accounting or ship management.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Tally SAP) and MS Excel.
• Strong knowledge of Indian tax laws especially related to seafarers and corporate taxation.
