Purpose of the Role:
The purpose of the Compliance Officer role is to ensure the company's operations align with legal requirements and regulations, mitigate compliance risks, and foster a culture of integrity and adherence to ethical standards within the organization. By overseeing compliance initiatives, providing guidance, and implementing effective strategies, the Compliance Officer contributes to the company's reputation, sustainability, and long-term success.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage an effective legal compliance program to ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
- Advise senior management on the company's compliance status through detailed reports and analysis, providing guidance on areas needing improvement or attention.
- Develop and manage action plans in response to audit findings and compliance violations.
- Regularly review company policies and procedures to ensure they align with current laws and regulations.
- Conduct regular audits of company procedures, practices, and documents to identify potential weaknesses or risks.
- Assess company operations to determine areas of compliance risk and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Provide education and training to employees on the latest regulations and compliance processes.
- Address and resolve employee concerns related to legal compliance.
- Interpret and apply commercial, TRA, and SIJILAT laws to company operations.
- Collaborate with legal counsel to address complex compliance issues.
- Assist in raising cases and take necessary action to collect overdue from customers, ensuring compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure that company operations comply with local laws and regulations set forth by authorities and ministries.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in law, finance, business management, or a related field.
- 3 5 years of proven experience in a compliance officer or related role.
- Thorough knowledge of legal requirements and procedures, with specialization in commercial, TRA.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
