Job Description

Job Title: Respiratory Care Practitioner NICU

Location: Spokane Washington United States.

Salary: USD $62580 to $100788

Employment Type: Fulltime

Benefits: Comprehensive Benefits Package

Shift: FullTime Night Shift (36 hours per week)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide respiratory care to neonatal patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
  • Assess plan and implement respiratory care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as ventilator management airway management and pulmonary function testing.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress adjusting care plans as needed.
  • Educate and support parents and family members regarding respiratory care and equipment usage.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and infection control standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to stay current with advancements in neonatal respiratory care.

Requirements:

  • Education: Associates or Bachelors degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Certification: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required. Neonatal/Pediatric Respiratory Care Specialist (NPS) certification preferred.
  • Licensure: Valid state license to practice as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in Washington.
  • Experience: Prior experience in neonatal respiratory care preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Expertise in neonatal respiratory therapy techniques and equipment.
    • Strong critical thinking and problemsolving abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced and highstress environment.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move patients and equipment and to stand or walk for extended periods.
