Material Review Board Design/Liaison Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Document nonconformance tags for spacecraft structures
- Analyse variations to part print specifications which effect part form fit and function
- Evaluate and provide a course of action regarding the ultimate disposition of the parts
- Evaluates areas of nonconformance regarding defects arising during the manufacturing process and as compared to the product definition requirements as defined by the drawings
- Perform design engineering analysis of discrepant machined parts manufactured in an aerospace manufacturing facility
- For example it may be used asis with no corrective action reworked to a condition that is acceptable for use repaired or scrapped
- This analysis will include performing tolerance stacks stress metallurgical aerodynamic dynamic NDT and heat transfer analysis
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a B.S. Degree in mechanical aerospace or civil engineering
- 2 years of experience with aircraft spacecraft launch vehicle.
Desired: - Previous experience with new aircraft or spacecraft fabrication
- Previous experience with aircraft MRO
