Locations:
Material Review Board Design/Liaison Engineer

Responsibilities:
  • Document nonconformance tags for spacecraft structures
  • Analyse variations to part print specifications which effect part form fit and function
  • Evaluate and provide a course of action regarding the ultimate disposition of the parts
  • Evaluates areas of nonconformance regarding defects arising during the manufacturing process and as compared to the product definition requirements as defined by the drawings
  • Perform design engineering analysis of discrepant machined parts manufactured in an aerospace manufacturing facility
  • For example it may be used asis with no corrective action reworked to a condition that is acceptable for use repaired or scrapped
  • This analysis will include performing tolerance stacks stress metallurgical aerodynamic dynamic NDT and heat transfer analysis
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a B.S. Degree in mechanical aerospace or civil engineering
  • 2 years of experience with aircraft spacecraft launch vehicle.
Desired:
  • Previous experience with new aircraft or spacecraft fabrication
  • Previous experience with aircraft MRO
