PMHNP - Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner - Inpatient Geriatric

Korzen Health is working with one of the largest healthcare systems in the area. Location is Moberly MO.

We are currently hiring a PMHNP for an inpatient facility. Come join a growing department as they expand more services.

Job details:

• Work within a 20 bed geriatric psychiatric unit (census 14 patients)
• Medical management of patients within inpatient unit 1 weekend/week of rounding and call 1x week.
• MF 5 days/week 4 days/week may be available
• Geriatric patient population

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to assess clients mental health status medication needs and treatment goals.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including therapists social workers and medical staff to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribe and manage medication for clients with a focus on minimizing side effects and monitoring for drug interactions.
• Provide medication education to clients and family members to ensure proper compliance and understanding.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss client progress treatment adjustments and ongoing care.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Stay uptodate on best practices new research and medications related to psychiatric and behavioral health care.
