Software Build Engineer CC Bazel Automotive

As a Technical Specialist for Software Build Environments you will play a key role within the global DevOps Team provide training create documentation and support our clients project teams.

You will onboard our global build framework to enhance the user experience of our customers project teams.

You will challenge existing solutions to bring them to the next level and will support onboarding entirely new and gamechanging solutions.
Our mission is to shape a world with a significantly reduced number of road accidents fatalities and injuries.

Your Role:
Extend and improve an inner source project based on Bazel that will be used by thousands of engineers around the world.
Review and implement suggested code changes from external or internal stakeholders.
Support project teams to onboard our global Bazel build framework.
Advise project teams around Bazel.
Create and provide training and share best practices with project teams on how to use Bazel.
Create and provide documentation around Bazel and our global Bazel build framework.
Troubleshoot issues. You will not always have to be able to solve them on your own. Your colleagues will be there to support you.

Your Background:
You have an Information Technology degree or similar.
You are experienced with any scripting language and you are not afraid to look into C/C code.
You have knowledge and relevant experience with build environments source code and configuration management systems such as Bazel/Make/CMake GIT Jira and Docker.
You are familiar with agile software development.
You are experienced in analyzing and solving issues.
You have good communication skills.
You are Curious: Explore your curiosity challenging the status quo.
You are Strategic: Plan ahead adopting future intelligence to break down barriers.
