Location: Fully remote EU timezone (CET / 2 hours)
Start Date: ASAP
Languages: English required

As a Scala engineer with our client you will play a key role in designing and developing robust backend systems. You will ensure that the platform maintains exceptional performance and reliability for all users.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop backend services in Scala within a microservices architecture using technologies such as Apache Pulsar and Postgres.
  • Manage data efficiently and ensure seamless integration with frontend systems and thirdparty services.
  • Collaborate with frontend engineers to create efficient APIs and optimize backend/frontend interactions.
  • Adhere to best practices in backend development including code quality security testing and performance optimization.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Work closely with product and design teams to deliver highquality solutions.
  • Stay informed about the latest backend technologies and trends to keep the platform cuttingedge.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in backend development.
  • Strong experience in Scala 3 with a keen interest in learning new technologies.
  • Good understanding of API design microservices architecture and serverside technologies.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to work effectively remotely.
  • Proficiency in PostgreSQL and Kubernetes.
