Job Description

For an important commodity trading company headquartered in Zug Switzerland.

The Vessel Operator works on all aspects of Coal freight trading from basic transportation and logistics concepts to trading strategies. The employee will work closely with traders team colleagues in the department as well as with people in other departments and field offices.

Tasks

  • Coordinating and overseeing day to day operations of allocated vessels
  • Providing technical and logistical support to trading for shipping matters
  • Preparing and checking Letters of Indemnity reviewing charterparty clauses and agreements
  • Arranging hire payments and freight invoices
  • Arranging bunker supplies for the vessels
  • Monitoring profit and loss for all the vessels/cargoes
  • The role is 100% office based

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of shipping experience preferably in time charter operations
  • Familiarity of IMOS vessel operating system and Sedna
  • Proficiency in English (both verbal and written) any further language is an asset
  • Holding a Swiss work permit or passport holder of CH / EU
