Test Engineer mfx Battery Systems

As a Test Engineer (m/f/x) for Battery Systems you will work in a dynamic and fast paced environment developing battery and powertrain systems for a fullyelectrified aircraft propulsion technology. Your responsibilities will therein be both in test rig development as well as pushing the battery system to its limit to test its performance.

Tasks:

• Planning and execution of tests for multiMW battery systems such as cells modules packs and other electric components
• Managing and setting up the lab environment e.g. planning setup and maintenance of test spaces and equipment
• Analysis interpretation and reporting of test data and results
• Developing and operating test benches for electrical electrochemical electromechanical components e.g. battery abuse tests
• Support of production planning and endofline test setup
• Close collaboration with other engineering department especially battery systems development

Skills:

• MSc PhD or equivalent degree in electrical/power/mechatronics engineering or a related field required
• Good knowledge of Liion batteries and battery systems
• Professional experience in testing battery systems in a lab environment
• Good knowledge of BMS functions CAN systems and battery test bench software
• Experience in working with battery testing equipment like high power supplies and loads or data acquisition systems
• Experienced in the use of battery module and battery system testing benches (AVL Kratzer Basytec or similar)
• Strong motivation to help build structures and processes
• Fluent English language skills a further plus would be:
• EFK AuS Status/Experience (Level 3E according to DGUV 209093) for HVSystems or similar hands on experience
• Experience in the automotive or aerospace field ( CS23 DO160 DO311)
• German or other language skills
