CAD Designer

Job Title: Drafting Manager
Location: Corapolis PA
Act as liaison between customer engineering and subcontract design drafters
Provide administrative supervision to subcontract design drafting staff
Administer customer policies and procedures to subcontract drafting staff
Manage project fabrication construction milestones and deliverables
Develop prepare and present design reviews reports procedures and communications
Provide innovative conceptual engineering design and development proposals
Participate in the definition of functional requirements
Evaluate alternative design concepts
Ensure the quality of drawings produced
Maintain relationships with customer leaders and managers
Required Education/Experience: Bachelors degree in Engineering or related technical degree with 10 years experience minimum of 5 years experience in drafting
Ability to read and interpret structural steel piping and ductwork drawings
Excellent communication skills required
Thorough knowledge of AutoCAD Inventor and Navis Works desirable
Project Engineering/Management experience desirable
Fabrication/Construction experience desirable
Ability to interpret instructions in various forms
Ability to work with mathematical concepts and develop fabrication drawings
Must be able to verify the work of others
Must have knowledge of manufacturing processes machines and building materials
Required to follow direction and learn and apply customer drafting standards
Must have knowledge of drafting fundamentals
Computer Skills: Minimum 5 years AutoCAD and INVENTOR experience proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel and Outlook).
