Position: General Manager Production (Fertilizers)
Qualification: Engineering Degree (B.E. / B.Tech) in Chemical Engineering from an institute of repute
Experience: 20 years of working experience in Fertilizer manufacturing (Ammonia Urea & Phosphates)
Has handled a team of mid level professionals
Well versed with TPM/TQM concepts and implementation
Function: Technical
Location: Western India
Job Purpose:
To monitor and review overall Production operations thereby delivering budgeted production targets within stipulated cost while ensuring the safety and sustainability of Man and Material
Job Responsibilities:
Capacity Utilization:
1. To drive most optimum or full utilization of available production capacities
2. To plan strategies and oversee its execution to get maximum budgeted uptime for equipment
Energy Management:
1. Review and monitor energy consumption to ensure budgeted targets are adhered to
2. To energize teams to come up with innovative solutions to energy losses
3. Plan budget approvals for capex schemes identified for energy saving
Safe Operations:
1. To review & monitor Process & Behaviour Based Safety measures for effective implementation thus avoiding incidents
2. To review slippages in adherence to SOPs and drive teams to upgrade SOPs and complete Job Cycle Check
3. To get the operations benchmarked with other best Units in the Industry for horizontal deployment
Continual Improvement:
1. To lead Total Quality / Productivity initiatives to enhance operational efficiencies (OEE).
2. To motivate teams to undertake challenging projects (Six Sigma / TPM) to establish and nurture a culture of continual improvement
3. To set a mechanism and review adherence and compliances to ISO systems and other similar once which are prevalent or to be adopted by the organization
People Development:
- To identify key critical positions in Production Function and plan for succession in collaboration with HR
- To actively contribute development of identified Talent Pool members / successors
- To drive a culture of continual learning within the team.
