Position: Java Fullstack Developer

Location: Minneapolis MN

Job Description:

To enable Pet Health to build Pharmacy related Web Applications supporting our Pharmacy Operations and Vet Diet Operations teams to obtain prescriptions/authorizations for pet parents:

Design and develop UI Components and APIs for pharmacy applications.

They need to understand how to build reusable UI components along with corresponding APIs that serve data from external API calls.

You will have responsibility over components of Chewys systems both development and operational needs.

Drive innovation through rapid prototyping and iterative development.

Be involved in design reviews and perform code reviews based on Chewys engineering rigor and standards.

Debug production issues in Chewy services and tech stack.

Measure and optimize the performance effectiveness and uptime of backend services.

Skill

JavaScript ReactJS Amazon Web Services (AWS) AWS MSSQL OOPs Java TypeScript Core Java SpringBoot

Bachelors Degree (MIS or CS preferred) or equivalent work experience

4 years of experience in an objectoriented language such as Java

Minimum 3 years of software development in ReactJS (Typescript or Javascript)

Minimum 2 years of software development in Java / Spring Boot stack

Minimum of 2 years of cloud architecture and service development experience

Preferably AWS including SNS/SQS EKS Lambdas Step Functions

Be a handson Engineer spending the majority of their time writing code or debugging tricky issues

Knowledge of professional software engineering practices for the full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations

Proficiency in Computer Science fundamentals objectoriented design data structures algorithm design problem solving and complexity analysis
