Job Description

Job Title: Lead Hardware Engineer Control & Protection

Location: Charlotte North Carolina

Job Description:

  • Bs degree with 9 years experience in Substation Protection & Control design experience in project management to go on business trips (customer clarification IBS support)
  • Knowledge of HVDC technology and systems engineering with MS Office and PM tools work within a team of HVDC project management and technical specialists to craft and deliver complete HVDC control and protection solutions for wind farm and interconnector grid connections.
  • Working with the HVDC C&P Project Manager and the CP organization to deliver work packages in line with project and business objectives.
  • Responsible for preparing offers and project management for the hardware of control and protection systems (Control & Protection) for highvoltage direct current transmission systems (HVDC) regarding deadlines costs and quality
  • Handle manage the technical management of the C&P Hardware offer / order processing team and will coordinate closely with the project management and the technical specialists from various hardware engineering areas planning monitoring and controlling the offer / order processing including technical conception delimitation of the scope of delivery scheduling / resource planning costing costing quality control and management of opportunities and risks.
