Job Description
Job Title: Technical Manager (Horticulture) Indian SubContinent
Location: New Delhi
Job Purpose:
1. Ensure the company standards of maintenance are delivered consistently at cemeteries scattered graves and memorials. Point of contact for horticultural needs training and advice.
2. Assisting Regional and Area Tech. Manager Hort. with the improvement of performance standards and efficiency of horticultural operations through regular site inspections; provision and analysis of management information and operational data including regular PQMS reports.
3. Line management responsibility for Cemetery Managers Head Gardeners and Gardeners.
4. Deliver technical staff training to ensure operations are carried out in accordance with organizational policy and approved working practices.
5. Gather and collate cemetery and horticultural management and performance data. Lead on reestablishing Cem. Green Folders as key management documents checking and updating horticultural layout plans.
6.Assisting Regional and Tech. Manager Hort. with the role out of conservation sustainability and biodiversity initiatives and implementation of the chemical action plan to minimise reliance on chemicals.
Education and Knowledge
A recognised professional horticultural qualification to degree level or 5 yrs relevant horticultural management experience.
Computer literacy.
Good command of written and spoken English.
Fluency in local language(s) Desirable
Training qualification and previous experience.
Health and safety training preferably IOSH Managing Safely.
Relevant and extensive practical (hands on) experience in a managerial position.
Practical (on site) project management experience.
Experience studying or working in a foreign country
