Maintenance Supervisor

One of our food processing clients is looking for Maintenance Supervisor at Windsor OR Essex ON location for their facility.

Shift 3 Shift Rotation

Responsibilities:

• Communicate directly with the operations department to coordinate maintenance and repair work.

• Implement programs and procedures required to ensure plant cleanliness.

• Conduct employee performance reviews based on job descriptions to determine competency knowledge and contribution of the maintenance technicians.

• Maintain and update operating and training manuals for the maintenance department.

• Ensure that all maintenance technicians are trained on the most updated version of the operating procedures.

• Monitor operation of plant equipment and systems

• Maintain and repair maintenance shop equipment

• Establish and maintain a maintenance management system for tracking work orders spare parts and maintenance history of plant equipment

• Prepare reports analyze data and make recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenancerelated problems

• Ensure that maintenance personnel are adequately trained equipped and motivated so that the maintenance program can be accomplished in a safe timely and costeffective manner

• Initiate and carry out projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs

• Ensure city province and federal regulations relating to the maintenance department are met at all times

• Direct maintain and enforce the safety program for the maintenance department; review safety records to uphold standards of maximum safety for all maintenance technicians

• Participate in objective setting plan development and performance review of plant performance

• Develop and implement structured preventative and predictive maintenance programs Prepare budget for each fiscal year and recommend any equipment upgrades/needs

• Perform other tasks or jobs as needed or required.

Requirements:

• Postsecondary Degree/Diploma in a Technical discipline and/or skilled trades certification/license 442a or 433a is preferred

• Proven leadership experience at a manager or supervisory level in maintenance or engineering is a prerequisite

• Strong knowledge of Preventative Maintenance CMMS Mechanical/Electrical systems and quality control systems within a manufacturing environment.

• Strong communication and organization skills with ability to lead and develop a team of skilled trades staff

• At least 2 years experience as a Maintenance Supervisor.
