Job Description

Join tozero as our People & Culture Manager (HR Manager) where you will play a dual role in both nurturing our organizational culture and managing essential HR functions. This position is designed to ensure we attract develop and retain top talent while also handling traditional HR responsibilities such as staffing compensation compliance and employee relations. You will provide a holistic approach to human resources management that supports our mission of advancing sustainable technology and creating an empowering workplace.

Tasks

You will oversee all aspects of people operations and HR management to support operational excellence and a highperformance culture.

  • Strategically align HR initiatives with business goals focusing on staffing compensation benefits and compliance.
  • Manage comprehensive HR functions including employee relations payroll processing and legal compliance.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures that comply with legal standards.
  • Lead performance management processes including evaluations and feedback systems.
  • Design and oversee employee development programs to promote career growth and performance.
  • Organize team events and activities that build company culture and employee morale.
  • Organize teambuilding events and manage internal communication to foster a positive work environment.
  • Monitor HR metrics and analyze data to inform strategic decisions and improve HR functions.
  • Provide strategic HR advice to senior management acting as a trusted advisor in all aspects of Human Resources.

Requirements

Your expertise in both strategic HR management and culture development will be crucial.

  • Youre a people person with a high level of emotional intelligence
  • You have excellent communication skills a sense of urgency accountability and ownership
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in a Human Resources management role with extensive knowledge in HR functions in a startup.
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field.
  • Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of German employment laws compensation structures employee relations and compliance protocols.
  • Personal Qualities: Highly organized ethical and capable of handling sensitive information confidentially.
  • Vision: Passion for creating an inclusive work environment and driving employee engagement.
  • Language: Native in German and fluent in English is a must
