Position: Team Lead Purchasing/Procurement (EPC)
Type of Hiring: 1.5 Years Contract
Working: 5 Days/Week
Location: Jatujak Bangkok
Responsibilities:
- Lead procurement personnel or assume the roles and responsibilities of a Project Procurement Manager for all procurement expediting and planning activities for assigned projects in the EPC (Engineering Procurement and Construction) for the oil and gas sector.
- Perform purchasing activities such as sourcing placing purchase orders and expediting to supply of complex/major materials and associated services by the procurement strategy and project/functional requirements including specification quality delivery date and costeffectiveness.
- Ensure procurement personnel conduct supplier evaluations and close out purchase orders within the projects schedule.
- Ensure procurement personnel maintain data accuracy and keep documentation ready for audit.
- Ensure procurement personnel perform the purchasing process including supplier management by corporate procurement procedures and/or project procurement procedures.
- Interface with Material Coordination PMT and relevant functions to resolve project procurement and expediting issues.
- Coach other procurement personnel on each work package to meet project schedules and requirements.
- Supervise or train new staff.
- Ensure compliance with procurement processes and procedures.
- Ensure materials services and required documentation are specified by project requirements.
- Conduct KickOff Meetings to communicate project requirements and expectations highlighting issues/concerns from previous projects.
- Take the lead in resolving material issues.
- Expedite the delivery process and maintain regular contact with project management clients or other departments to ensure activities meet all group expectations.
- Maintain and update expediting status.
- Interface with Procurement Planner Engineering and QA/QC personnel to resolve procurement and material delivery issues.
- Provide mentoring to procurement personnel within the group.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Economics or Industrial Engineering is preferable.
- 7 10 years of experience in procurement preferably within the Oil and Gas EPC sector.
- Proven experience in leading and managing a procurement team is essential.
- Strong understanding of oil and gas industry procurement practices contracts and Incoterms (International Commercial Terms).
- Ability to work closely with engineering teams to understand technical specifications and ensure procured materials and equipment meet project needs.
- Excellent leadership coaching and mentoring skills to motivate and develop your team.
- Strong negotiation and commercial awareness to ensure the best value for the company.
- Strong problemsolving and analytical skills to identify and mitigate risks and make sound decisions.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Fluent command of English (Speaking. Reading and Writing).
- Excellent communication written and verbal to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
