Preservation Technician

Responsibilities:

• Liaise with Preservation supervisor for provide assistance in carrying out Preservation Work scope related activities.
• Follow the site preservation supervisor instruction and apply the preservation methods. (In term of chemical used percentage dilution & application method)
• Complete and Submit Preservation work List
• Ensure preservation activities are carried out in full compliance with approved procedures in a safe manner.
• Able to maintain Preservative inventory (e.g. quantity Expiry dates etc.) and report to preservation supervisor.
• Attend Preservation surveillance Walk downs as required by supervisor
• Participation in HSE walkabout as required.
• Attend Toolbox meeting to ensure full understanding of work scope as per PTW requirements.
• Monitor & Report daily progress to site Preservation Supervisor.
• Monitor & have control of incoming and outgoing materials and tools.
• Perform the preservation operations according to work plan.

Requirements:

• Secondary Nitec NTC ITE (Mechanical /Electrical Preferred) or any relevant trade certificate.
• Should be able to communicate in English written & spoken.
• Should have minimum Preservation experience of more than 3 FPSO / FSO projects.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team with strong troubleshooting skill.
• Keep good communication and reporting to supervisors on day to day activities.

HSE Requirements:

• Shall comply with company / yard safety procedures and safe working practices.
• Familiar with Permit ToWork system and LockOut TagOut procedures.
• Ensure that commissioning testing activities are conducted safely and complies with the site PTW and safety regulations and procedures.
