Sr Accountant

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing financial activities ensuring accuracy and compliance and providing strategic financial insights to support our companys growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage general accounting functions including but not limited to: accounts payable accounts receivable general ledger and taxes.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Coordinate and assist with the annual budget and forecasting processes.
• Perform monthly quarterly and annual closing activities.
• Reconcile and analyze account balances including bank statements fixed assets and prepaid expenses.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
• Support external audits and tax preparation by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Mentor and support junior accounting staff.
• Assist with special projects and process improvements as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
• 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks SAP Oracle) and advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical organizational and problemsolving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
