Job Description:
We are looking for a detailoriented and experienced Bookkeeping Specialist to join our finance team on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records managing daytoday bookkeeping tasks and supporting our finance team to ensure smooth financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update financial records including ledgers invoices and receipts.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial data is accurate and up to date.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.
- Manage payroll processing and ensure timely payment to employees.
- Support monthend and yearend closing processes.
- Assist with audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
- Perform other bookkeeping and administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
- 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency in bookkeeping software (e.g. QuickBooks Xero) and MS Office Suite particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) is a plus.
