DevOps Engineer

Location: Jacksonville FL/Tampa FL (Hybrid)

Duration: 12 Months

Experience: 8 Years

MustHave: Podman Docker Ansible Jenkins Git/BitBucket

Must Be a Local Candidate of Florida Only

Job Description:

• Participate and contribute to story refinement/defining requirements
• Participate and guide the team in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle
• Perform spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
• Code solutions and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
• Utilize multiple architectural components (across data application and business) in the design and development of client requirements
• Assist team with resolving technical complexities involved in realizing storywork
• Design/develop/modify architecture components application interfaces and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
• Design/develop/maintain automated test suites (integration regression performance)
• Set up and develop a continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline
• Automate manual release activities
• Mentor other Software Engineers and coach the team on CICD practices and automating tool stack
  

Required Skills:

• Proficiency with Podman or Docker
• Source code management Git/Bitbucket and others.
• Build automation and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment using tools like Jenkins Ansible Tower and others
• Highly committed with an ability to work in fastpaced environment against tight deadlines
• Ability to work in international virtual teams and in matrix structures while being a good team player

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge of build tools and processes like Nuget MS Build
• Exposure to BitBucket Jenkins Sonar Artifactory Ansible
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs
• Testing methods and tools
• Understanding of microservices architecture
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux Shell Scripting
