Executive Bureau المكتب التنفيذي is a regional organisation operating under the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council. Our mission is to promote cooperation and integration among GCC countries in the fields of labor and social development. We transfer successful policies and experiences, conduct research and analysis of social and labor policies, manage projects, establish strategic partnerships, and represent member states in Arab and international forums.
Role Description
This is a contract-based job. The Social Protection Expert will be responsible for conducting a research project that utilises comparative social policy and this research should be completed within 6 months from the contract inception.
Research project aims
The primary objective of this study is to enhance our understanding of contemporary social security policies and trends, particularly those tackling social risks such as poverty. Additionally, the study seeks to conduct a comparative analysis of different countries' approaches to social security, distinguishing best practices and shortfalls/ gaps in existing policies. Subsequently, it aims to furnish decision-makers with comprehensive insights, facilitating informed assessments of the latest global experiences in social security. This study will provide valuable insights which will enable GCC countries to enhance and improve their social security initiatives.
Required Qualifications
The applicant must be a citizen of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
The successful candidate will carry out the study in his/her capacity to complete the task on the specified agreed date.
The successful candidate will be entitled to an incentive reward of $6,000 (six thousand US dollars)at the successful and satisfactory completion of the project.
