Role Description
This is a fulltime onsite Oracle Database Administrator role located in Bengaluru. The Oracle Database Administrator will be responsible for daytoday tasks which involve database administration replication troubleshooting and database security.
Responsibilities:
- Install and configure Oracle database software based on organizational requirements.
Manage database security by handling user management and permissions effectively. - Monitor database performance continuously to ensure optimal operation and response times.
- Perform tuning and optimization of SQL queries and database parameters for improved efficiency.
- Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies using Oracle RMAN tools.
- Regularly test backups to verify data integrity and availability.
- Plan and execute database upgrades and apply patches as necessary.
- Stay updated with Oracle releases and promptly apply security patches.
- Collaborate with development teams to design and optimize database schema.
- Conduct capacity planning and implement scalability solutions as needed.
- Investigate and resolve databaserelated issues and incidents promptly.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for database configuration and procedures.
- Generate regular reports on database health performance and availability.
- Implement and enforce database security policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
Experience in Oracle Database Administration Database Administration and Troubleshooting. Experience in Database Replication and Database Security. Strong analytical and problemsolving skills. Ability to work collaboratively and in a team environment. Strong communication skills Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field. Oracle Certified Associate /Oracle Certified Professional (OCA/OCP) certification is a plus.
