Job Description
**Sr. Java Developer**
**Responsibilities:**
Lead in technology and conceptualize propose design and architectural evolution.
Contribute to developing highquality fully tested source code adhering to deadlines schedules and coding standards.
Liaise with business analysts to clarify and understand requirements.
Maintain detailed technical documentation.
Develop test strategies in coordination with project managers and business analysts.
Provide technical assistance during user acceptance tests.
Support applications in production analyze and resolve issues and propose future optimizations.
Requirements
Qualifications and Profile:
At least 9 years of software development experience.
Minimum of 7 years experience working with Java.
Strong knowledge of various design patterns.
Understanding of recent Java language features (lambdas streams futures).
Good knowledge of algorithms data structures and complexity analysis.
Ability to analyze code understand execution flow and debug without a debugger.
Experience with Maven Git and maintaining integration tests.
Familiarity with Linux and bash.
Knowledge of SQL or an SQLinspired dialect like HQL.
Experience in cloudnative architecture.
Ideal Expertise:
Jenkins Ansible and exposure to DevOps culture.
Jira or similar issuetracking systems.
The Spring framework especially Spring Boot and Swagger for RESTful web services.
Messaging technology such as Kafka MQ.
Helpful Knowledge:
Web development fundamentals (HTML JavaScript jQuery ReactJS etc.).
Docker/Kubernetes Microservices.
ElasticSearch.
Understanding of the investment banking domain and capital market FO/BO environment.
Interest in finance and financial markets especially interest rate derivatives (Forwards Futures Swaps Swaptions etc.).
Professional Skills and Mindset:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
Proficient in the software development life cycle.
Interest in following technology trends and participating in communities.
Passion for sharing expertise and growing team members skills.
Interest in mentoring and guiding junior team members.
