Title: QA Software Test Engineer

Location: Remote (within Texas)

Description of Services:

We are seeking a highly experienced and effective QA Engineer to join our team. This is a remote opportunity with occasional inperson meetings in Austin Texas. The primary responsibilities include leading the test process conducting manual software testing drafting test plans test script validation and execution and defect management.

Work Description:

• Analyze functional service level and technical requirements and use cases.
• Write highquality deliverables such as test plans and manual test scripts.
• Crossreference test scripts with requirements.
• Execute a wide range of qualitycontrol tests including functional regression integration performance and compliance tests.
• Document and assist in resolving detected issues and variances.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including technical project customer and vendors.
• Clearly document and communicate inconsistencies and issues.
• Lead test status and defect triage meetings.
• Facilitate User Acceptance Testing.
• Send timely testing status reports to the project team.
• Follow defined IT standards and procedures in creating test plans/scenarios.
• Assist with automated test scripts and have knowledge in test automation frameworks.

Skills and Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited fouryear college or university with major coursework in Business or Computer Science or related field (Education or experience may be substituted up to a maximum of four years)
• 57 years of extensive experience in software testing methodologies
• 57 years of experience documenting test plans test requirements defect tracking and resolution
• 57 years of experience writing running and maintaining test scripts
• 57 years of extensive experience in manual testing
• 57 years of experience working with Test Management and Defect Management tools
• 57 years of experience leading and reporting test activities
• 57 years of proven work experience with analytical and problemsolving skills
• 57 years of excellent oral and written communication skills
• 57 years of experience with technical style guides and writing standards
• 57 years of experience with integration testing and best practices
• 57 years of experience communicating effectively with audiences of varying technical aptitudes

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years of knowledge of systems used to support utility business such as IBM Maximo Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Oracle Customer Care and Billing Automated Data Management and Meter Data Management systems
• 3 years of experience with IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM) or similar CLM tools
• 3 years of experience with IBM Rational Functional Tester Rational Performance Tester tools and Selenium
