Title: Cost Optimization Lead
Location: Oak Brook IL
Duration: 5 Months(December 2024 with possible extension)

Overview:
  • As the IT Cost Optimization Lead you will play a pivotal role in supporting the IT Organization in achieving the budget targets set for the IT functions following the 2023 spinoff of the North American cereal business.
  • You will act as a key advisor facilitator and executor ensuring alignment of strategic objectives within the planned budget.
  • This will mean looking across organizational goals efficient operations and effective communication within the IT department and across other business units to achieve the budget objectives with full transparency of services and costs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of IT expenses identifying areas for cost optimization and efficiency improvement
  • Evaluate Core IT technologies and spending patterns to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement
  • Develop and implement costsaving strategies process improvements and best practices within the IT
  • Collaborate with IT teams finance and other stakeholders to align costsaving initiatives with organizational goals
  • Initiate and lead cost reduction projects leveraging datadriven insights to achieve savings targets
  • Continuously monitor and assess the effectiveness of costsaving measures making adjustments as needed
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to partner with the business and IT architects on potential solutions.
  • Serves as a liaison with all levels of the organization (Business and IT)
  • Assist in ROI analysis and contract financial analysis
  • Work across IT teams to help Identify process improvements and efficiency opportunities to optimize IT operations
  • Prepare cost optimization reports presentations and communication materials for senior leadership and stakeholders
  • Organize and facilitate IT cost optimization meetings ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and decisionmaking processes.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science Business Administration or related field. MBA degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in a senior IT management role with a track record of strategic planning project management and operational excellence.
  • Strong understanding of IT governance frameworks industry standards and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall and tools like Planview or Microsoft Project.
  • Strategic thinker with a customercentric mindset capable of balancing longterm vision with shortterm operational needs.

Additional Requirements:
  • Experience in change management organizational development or business process improvement is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications such as PMP ITIL or CISSP are desirable.
  • Familiarity with enterprise software and systems cloud computing cybersecurity and emerging technologies.
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
