Cyber Security Engineer

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Develop implement and maintain comprehensive security policies procedures and protocols to protect the organizations digital assets.
  
• Ensure all security measures comply with industry standards and regulations.
  
• Monitor network traffic for security breaches and investigate anomalies or suspicious activities.
  
• Respond promptly to security incidents mitigate threats and implement necessary remediation.
  
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities.
  
• Recommend and implement solutions to address identified vulnerabilities.
  
• Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate and implement security measures.
  
• Provide guidance and support to ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.
  
• Stay uptodate on the latest cyber threats and security technologies.
  
• Proactively address potential risks by implementing advanced security measures.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
  
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cyber security preferably in a corporate or government environment.
  
• Strong knowledge of network security protocols firewalls intrusion detection systems and encryption technologies.
  
• Experience with security assessment tools and techniques such as vulnerability scanning and penetration testing.
  
• Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
  
• Effective communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
  
• Relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP CISM CEH) are a plus.
