As the Lead Hostess, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional guest service, managing the seating process, and ensuring the seamless flow of operations in our dining area. This is an incredible opportunity to showcase your skills and be part of a world-class hospitality experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Guest Reception and Seating:
- Greet guests upon arrival, provide warm welcomes, and manage the seating process to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction.
- Oversee the reservation system, ensuring accurate tracking of reservations, walk-ins, and waiting lists.
- Assign seating arrangements, taking into account guest preferences, table availability, and server rotations.
2. Team Leadership
- Provide leadership and guidance to the host/hostess team, ensuring adherence to company standards and service protocols.
- Conduct training sessions for new host/hostess staff, focusing on customer service skills, reservation management, and effective communication.
3. Reservation Management:
- Manage reservation inquiries and confirmations, communicating effectively with guests to confirm bookings and accommodate special requests.
- Monitor reservation trends and dining room capacity to optimize seating arrangements and maximize guest satisfaction.
4. Guest Assistance and Communication:
- Address guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Liaise with servers, kitchen staff, and management to relay guest feedback and ensure seamless communication throughout the dining experience.
5. Maintaining Hostess Stand and Dining Area:
- Keep the hostess stand well-organized, clean, and stocked with necessary supplies, including menus, reservation books, and seating charts.
- Monitor the cleanliness and ambiance of the dining area, coordinating with the appropriate staff to address any issues promptly.
6. Problem Solving and Conflict Resolution:
- Handle guest complaints and conflicts with tact and diplomacy, striving to find satisfactory resolutions and maintain positive guest relations.
- Escalate complex issues to management as necessary, providing detailed information and recommendations for resolution.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a host/hostess in a high-volume restaurant environment, with demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in reservation management software and basic computer skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
