Virtual Rockstar is seeking a Virtual Patient Liaison/ Insurance Verification and Authorization Specialist to join our client s dynamic team dedicated to highquality personalized physical therapy that prioritizes handson care and optimal patient outcomes. Our client s team is committed to preventing unnecessary medications injections and surgeries through effective therapy programs tailored to each individual.
Job Responsibilities:
Confirm patient appointments and manage appointment calendar efficiently.
Handle patient inquiries via phone and email with professionalism and empathy.
Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring confidentiality and privacy.
Greet patients warmly and provide guidance within the facility as needed.
Coordinate daily schedules in collaboration with medical staff.
Follow up with patients postsession sending exercise and treatment plans.
Respond to frequently asked questions and assist with appointment rescheduling.
Manage referrals from healthcare providers and send personalized communications.
Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain preauthorizations for procedures.
Update patient files with insurance information and explain benefits to patients.
Liaise with insurance providers to clarify coverage details and track claim statuses.
Assist patients with insurancerelated queries and process/submit claims.
Manage therapists schedules and coordinate patient appointments efficiently.
Send appointment reminders and respond promptly to patient inquiries.
Generate and send invoices maintaining electronic medical records accurately.
Provide virtual assistance via phone and email including data entry and basic reporting.
Contact patients for feedback and maintain a waitlist for appointments.
Transcribe therapistpatient interactions accurately and manage emergency contacts.
Assist with filing and equipment maintenance as needed.
Previous experience in a similar role preferably in healthcare administration or patient liaison.
Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems; experience with Quick EMR preferred.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize workload.
Empathetic and patientcentered approach to customer service.
Understanding of insurance verification and authorization processes.
Capability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining team collaboration.
Additional Preferred Skills:
Experience or familiarity with marketing tasks such as campaign assistance social media management and event organization.
Ability to analyze marketing campaign effectiveness and monitor online reviews/comments.
Basic website management skills to maintain clinic information.
