Head - NPI

Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Development and Design:
Lead the design and development of healthcare devices and equipment.
Collaborate with the design team to translate customer requirements into product specifications.
Ensure designs meet regulatory standards and quality benchmarks.
2. Project Management:
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for new product introductions.
Coordinate with customers to finalize design inputs material specifications and acceptance standards.
Ensure project milestones are met and compliance with project timelines.
3. CrossFunctional Coordination:
Work closely with operations teams including production quality assurance design process engineering and tooling and sourcing.
Facilitate communication and collaboration between sourcing teams vendors suppliers collaborators and technology partners.
Address and resolve any issues that may arise during the product development and introduction phases.
4. Sourcing and Vendor Management:
Oversee the sourcing team to identify and qualify new vendors and suppliers.
Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with external partners to ensure quality and cost effectiveness.
Ensure timely procurement of materials and components needed for product development.
5. Customer and Stakeholder Engagement:
Liaise with customers to understand their needs and ensure their requirements are met.
Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide project updates and gather feedback.
Prepare and present periodic management briefs to appraise the CEO/COO of project status.
6. Innovation and Benchmarking:
Stay updated with global trends and benchmarks in healthcare product innovations and services.
Implement best practices to maintain competitive advantage in the market.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the NPI team.
Qualifications:
Bachelors or masters degree in electrical /mechanical/Electronics Engineering or a related field.
1015 years of experience in the design and development of healthcare devices and equipment.
Proven experience in managing crossfunctional teams and projects.
Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and quality benchmarks in the healthcare industry.
Excellent communication negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple priorities.
