Job Description
Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Weld Engineer
Location: Longview TX
Job Description:
- Bs degree in Manufacturing / Process / Materials / Mechanical with 3 years experience in Fixture design weld process and technology robotic weld
- Knowledge in weld and heavy fabrication materials
- Experience in developing supporting and program robotic weld operations
- Write procedures and interpret drawings and standards
- welder certifications / certified welding inspector
- Develop/ write / support robotic weld processes
- Design fixture for robotic weld processes
- Ensure appropriate weld codes
- Assist Design Engineer with design for manufacturability
- Work with weld suppliers and vendors to ensure weld needs are met and update weld processes technologies to reduce costs and maintain quality
- Work within lean manufacturing to ensure weld deposition is being maximized
- Work on repair procedures as needed and perform welder training
- Perform quality audits in fabrication areas
