Job Description

Job Title: Pre Primary Fine Arts Teacher

Overview:

The role of a Pre Primary Fine Arts Teacher is crucial in introducing young children to the world of fine arts and nurturing their creativity and artistic abilities. These teachers play a significant role in shaping the artistic and creative development of children at a crucial stage in their lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement appropriate art lessons for preprimary students
  • Teach students basic fine art techniques such as drawing painting and sculpting
  • Utilize a variety of materials media and techniques to inspire and engage young students
  • Introduce students to different artists art styles and art history
  • Encourage creative expression and experimentation in fine arts activities
  • Assess and provide constructive feedback on students art projects
  • Collaborate with other preprimary teachers to integrate art into interdisciplinary activities
  • Organize and conduct art exhibitions or displays of students artwork
  • Establish a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages artistic exploration
  • Communicate with parents about students progress and participation in fine arts activities
  • Attend professional development sessions to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on art education trends
  • Ensure the safety and proper use of art materials and equipment in the classroom
  • Participate in school events and activities such as open houses and parentteacher conferences

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Fine Arts Early Childhood Education or related field
  • Teaching certification or licensure for early childhood education
  • Demonstrated experience or strong interest in working with preprimary or early childhood group
  • Proficiency in various fine arts techniques and media
  • Understanding of child development and appropriate learning strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with young children colleagues and parents
  • Ability to create a supportive and stimulating learning environment
  • Patience empathy and a genuine passion for nurturing childrens creativity
  • Knowledge of art history and different art styles to introduce to young students
  • Strong organizational skills for planning and executing art lessons and activities
