Job Title: Assistant Accountant

Location: Erdington Birmingham

Salary: From 13.69 per hour benefits

Full Time and Permanent Monday to Friday 9.00am5.00pm

2 days working from home after probation period

Our client is an independent car dealer group which operates a network of 61 car dealership sites in the UK and channel islands. They are one of the Top 25 Sunday Times best big companies to work for.

They are looking for Assistant Accountant to join them at their Erdington site.

The successful candidate will be responsible to assist in the production of monthly reports and annual and related reports and prepare forecasts and budgets. Youll reconcile the Balance Sheet Account and assist in control and distribution of all group finance income. Ideally youll have previous Motor Trade accounts experience and be AAT Qualified or studying later stages. Youll also have intermediate knowledge of Excel and be committed to really making a difference.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• To assist in the cream of a variety of reports for internal customers
  
• Undertake detailed analysis and data mining to ensure accuracy of reports
  
• Provide information on trends and forecasts to a diverse customer base within the organisation
  
• Comply with all relevant financial accounting processes and procedures
  
• Ensure all work output is of the highest compliant and ethical standard
  
• Help create an environment that encourages suggestions for improvements and best practice
