Your daily tasks will be

• Install configure upgrade and maintain PostgreSQL databases and related tools;
• Monitor database performance identify bottlenecks and implement optimizations to ensure optimal performance;
• Develop implement and manage database backup and recovery strategies;
• Implement and manage database security policies including user account management access controls and data encryption;
• Ensure the integrity and consistency of data through regular audits and checks;
• Diagnose and resolve databaserelated issues and incidents in a timely manner;
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations processes and procedures;
• Work closely with development teams to design implement and maintain database solutions that meet business requirements;
• Monitor and plan for future storage needs and ensure databases can scale to meet increasing demands;
• Ensure databases comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements;
• Develop and implement scripts and automation tools to streamline database management tasks;
• Provides oncall coverage for production support and administration of PostgreSQL.

What we expect from you

• At least 5 years of handson experience in PostgreSQL Database Administration/Engineeringincluding performance tuning and optimization replication clustering and high availability;
  
• Experience in deploying and supporting PostgreSQL clusters in production;
  
• Experience with cloudbased PostgreSQL solutions (e.g. AWS RDS Google Cloud SQL);
  
• Experience with Git version control system;
  
• Proficiency in SQL and PL/pgSQL;
  
• Familiarity with other database technologies (e.g. MySQL MongoDB);
  
• Experience with DevOps tools and practices (e.g. Docker Kubernetes Ansible);
  
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Bash Python) for automation;
  
• Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems;
  
• Familiarity with database security best practices;
  
• Knowledge of database backup and recovery strategies;
  
• Experience working in highavailability and scalable environments;
  
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills;
  
• Team player with strong communication skills comfortable liaising with the business to understand user needs;
  
• Excellent English skills.
