Talking Fish Therapies currently provides private speech pathology services to families in our community. We love using music as part of our therapy techniques are looking to expand our services to music therapy as well!

We have an established neurodiversity affirming approach that is only emerging in the private sector and we provide a combination of clinic based and mobile therapy. We are known for our strengths in Augmentative and Alternative communication.

Tasks

We are seeking a fun energetic music therapist who has a passion for working with clients and their families to see long term improvements. We want you to bring a positive and enthusiastic attitude to work each day.

• Ongoing full time position with opportunities to work flexibly.
• Assessment and therapy of mostly paediatric clients (some adults) mostly with developmental disabiities.
• Our team is particularly well known in our area for our work with people with complex needs nonverbal communicators and alternative communicators.

Requirements

• Masters Degree in Music Therapy
• Registration with Australian Music Therapy Association
• Working with Childrens Check
• Professional Indemnity Insurance
• Rights to work in Australia
• Proof of COVID19 vaccination
• Neurodiversity affirming person centred approach to therapy
• A desire for constant improvement
• Laminating craft and ukulele skills are highly desirable!
