About the Role

The Sales Manager position necessitates consistently achieving and surpassing revenue targets by coordinating with account managers to meet set goals. Your primary responsibility involves managing a team of account managers focusing solely on the East African market.

As the Sales Manager you will have the authority to delegate responsibilities to your Account Managers to ensure they meet and exceed their sales targets. It is imperative to have a comprehensive understanding of Banking Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) products demonstrating a strong background in core or noncore banking solutions throughout the East African market. Excellent people skills are essential as effective team management motivation and building strong relationships with both team members and clients are necessary to drive business growth.

This role requires that you have experience managing teams in the BFSI sector in the East African region and knowledge of the different market dynamics in the East African countries. Requirements

What You will do:

Team Management

  • You will lead and oversee a team of account managers ensuring they are motivated and equipped to meet their sales targets within the BFSI sector.

  • You will implement performance metrics and regular evaluations to monitor and enhance the productivity and effectiveness of your team.

  • You will coordinate with regional offices and provide strategic guidance tailored to the unique market dynamics of East African countries.

  • You will foster a collaborative team environment promoting best practices and facilitating professional development opportunities for team members.

  • You will build and maintain strong relationships with team members fostering a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages open communication and collaboration.

  • You will engage with clients to understand their needs and challenges offering tailored solutions and building longterm partnerships.

  • You will mediate and resolve conflicts within the team ensuring a harmonious and productive work environment.

  • You will conduct regular team meetings and oneonone sessions to provide feedback set goals and support the professional growth of each team member.

Product Knowledge

  • You will leverage your indepth knowledge of core and noncore banking solutions to drive product adoption and sales growth within the East African market.

  • You will stay abreast of industry trends regulatory changes and competitive landscape to inform product positioning and sales strategies.

  • You will collaborate with product development and marketing teams to tailor BFSI products to meet the specific needs of the East African market.

  • You will provide expert advice and insights on the core & noncore banking products to both your team and clients ensuring comprehensive understanding and effective utilization.

About you:

Must Haves:

  • You have a Bachelor s degree in any related discipline.

  • You possess a minimum of 5 years of leadership management experience especially in fintech particularly in the BFSI industry across East Africa.

  • You have sold either core or noncore banking solutions across East Africa

  • You have a strong track record of excellence in achieving sales targets by effectively coordinating with team members to reach their goals

  • You have a strong ability to acquire new accounts and generate new business.
