Senior Logistics Operations Executive

Our Client is a global distributor of industrial and electronic components serving customers in automation manufacturing and maintenance.

Responsibilities

We re looking for a detailoriented highly organised Senior / Logistics Operations Executive to be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations and managing thirdparty logistics providers driving process improvements to increase performance and quality

• Build and maintain relationships with thirdparty logistics companies and port authorities to ensure that customers needs are met effectively and competitively;
  

• Supervise and support thirdparty logistics warehousing to ensure that targets and contractual obligations are met;
  

• Coordinate import and export operations ensuring all necessary local licenses and permits are obtained through collaboration with stakeholders and customs brokers;
  

• Plan and facilitate inventory activities;
  

• Coordinate budget analysis for logistics operations including assessing changes in costs to minimize operational impact;
  

• Optimise operational costs to ensure that budgets are met;
  

• Identify areas for process improvement in logistics to drive performance excellence;
  

• Develop quality management measures to improve quality standards;
  

• Manage warehouse safety activities to ensure compliance facilitating relevant discussions for assessments and risk management;
  

• Obtain insights from logistics data for continuous improvement.
  

Requirements

• Diploma or higher qualification in logistics international trade or supply chain management;
  
• At least 3 years of experience in warehouse and logistics operations;
  
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  
• Ability to review and improve processes to support continuous improvement initiatives;
  
• Strong health and safety knowledge and awareness;
  
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision;
  
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office.
