If so youre heading in the right direction! We seek a passionate Senior Backend Engineer (d/w/m) experienced with Scala and/or Java. Expect a stateoftheart tech stack and influence future decisions. Our backend services use a microservice architecture with Scala and/or Java complemented by the Angular Framework on the frontend.

• You will be a fundamental part of the further development planning of necessary refactoring and maintenance of the existing software and all of its layers (e. g. frontend backend infrastructure)

What you need to succeed

• Proficient in Java with a good knowledge of its ecosystems
• Familiarity with Java frameworks like Spring Boot Hibernate and Apache Wicket
• Experience with both external and embedded databases especially MySQL and PostgreSQL
• Proficiency and understanding of source code management tools such as Git
• Ability to identify bottlenecks defects and devise solutions to these challenges
• Passion for bringing business value to all of our customers by building high quality solutions
• Knowing when to listen to the gut feeling of intuition and if necessary help transfer that implicit knowledge of yours with facts and data
• Ability to write and speak English in a professional environment
• Existing Pentaho ETL knowledge is of advantage
