Head of Legal mfd - Remote

Are you a seasoned legal professional passionate about fintech and digital assets We are recruiting for a fastgrowing crypto investment platform that is making waves in the industry. Backed with investment and now a profitable business this company is hiring a Head of Legal to shape the future of its legal function and support with regulatory matters.

Tasks

Develop and Implement Legal Frameworks: Build and maintain robust legal structures to support business goals ensuring compliance with a range of financial regulatory laws including MiCA and consumer protection regulations.

Manage Compliance and Regulatory Requirements: Oversee compliance efforts manage intercompany agreements and navigate relationships with banking partners. Ensure all offerings align with legal standards and regulatory requirements.

Support Strategic Initiatives: Provide legal counsel on strategic projects and new product launches especially as the company expands into new territories. Develop and manage legal policies to facilitate smooth operations.

Requirements

Regulatory Expertise: Strong knowledge of financial regulations (e.g. PSD2 MiFID CRR) and digital asset regulations (e.g. MiCAR VASP).

Experience dealing with Regulatory Authorities: Familiarity with regulatory bodies such as BaFin FMA or CSSF.

Legal Qualifications: A degree in law with at least 4 years of relevant experience.

Language Proficiency: Native German speaker with excellent English skills crucial for communication with regulators and stakeholders.

Proactive and Determined: Committed proactive and interested in developing processes and structures. Driven to enhance performance continuously.
