Senior Data Scientist

Algebra Intelligence is offering Mid-Senior and Senior positions in the Data and AI team - Jordan office. The successful candidate will work in a collaborative and high paced environment to support the company’s data operations. The Data and AI team covers the full scope of data projects end-to-end; from raw data to production ready AI services that are integrated with the company’s software products.

Essential skills:

1. 2-5 years of professional experience in Data Science and Machine Learning.
2. Background in a quantitative field; Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (Advanced degrees are preferable).
3. Exceptional Python programming skills; including:
4. Ability to program in Procedural, Functional, and OOP paradigms.
5. Committing to modularity and familiarity with package development.
6. Providing comprehensive documentation.
7. Attention to code efficiency.
8. Abiding by the PEP 8 style guide.
9. Excellent in data manipulation, processing, and analysis using open source tools (e.g. Pandas).
10. Excellent skills in data visualization; including design principles. Experience with interactive visualization and dashboarding tools (e.g. Plotly/Dash) is a plus.
11. Decent background in Statistics and Mathematics.
12. Fluency in SQL for interacting with relational databases.
13. Strong knowledge and experience with machine learning and deep learning algorithms.
14. Ability to perform Time Series Analysis and modeling.
15. Comfort using version control systems (Git/GitHub).
16. Comfort with command line interfaces (e.g. Linux CLI).
17. Experience with containerization (Docker), API development, and data pipelines.
18. English fluency is a must.
19. Leadership and mentorship skills.
20. Advanced problem solving skills, logical intuition, and attention to details.
21. Product-centered mindset and approach to development.

Additional desirable skills:

Having any of the below listed is a plus.

1. Knowledge/experience with Big Data and Parallel Computing.
2. Knowledge/experience in Cloud Computing.
3. Domain knowledge in energy systems.
