Senior Estimator Project Manager

Platinum Global Talent Solutions is delighted to be supporting the recruitment for a premier industry leading General Contractor with expertise in heavy civil infrastructure construction and environmental and industrial services.

The Senior Estimator/ Project Manager will be responsible for project management and administrative tasks for a wide variety of civil construction projects. This role will include preparing bid packages conceptual estimates and analysis of subcontractor bids with a primary focus on site development and utility work.

Estimating

• Prepare Cost Estimates: Attend site visits to gather necessary information and accurately estimate project costs and prepare proposals.
• Manage Estimation Phases: Oversee all phases of estimating ensuring adherence to schedules regulatory compliance and client bid proposal requirements.
• Deliver Bid Presentations: Collaborate with management to deliver engaging bid presentations to potential customers.
• Utilize Heavy Bid Software: Employ HCSS Heavy Bid software for precise estimation and streamline the process.
• Estimates and Project Support: Transfer estimates into job accounting software schedule and attend preplanning meetings and provide support to subordinate estimators maintaining productive client relations throughout projects.

Project Management

• Submission of Job Information: Collaborate with the leadership team to ensure timely submission of required paperwork and information from job sites to the office.
• Data Accuracy: Work closely with accounting staff to accurately enter Viewpoint information including field data and change orders ensuring accuracy for weekly meeting reviews.
• Critical Project Information: Continually monitor and review Viewpoint Job Cost reports and critical project data to ensure alignment with budgets schedules and safety plans.
• Project Progress: Create and maintain Statements of Value (SOVs) in Viewpoint for accurate tracking of project progress and expenditures.
• Payments and Billing: Approve vendor and subcontractor payments ensure accounting has necessary information for accurate project billing and review and approve customer billings promptly.
• Job progress meetings: Attend weekly job progression meetings develop and maintain excellent relationships with the customers. Strong ability to resolve any issues in an expedient manner working closely with the Senior Executive team.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred in engineering technology or construction management.
• Minimum of two years of progressive project management experience in the construction industry.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel or other comparable software in a Windows environment. Understanding or ability to learn HCSS Estimating software Bluebeam Trimble MS Projects and Viewpoint Construction software.
