Mechanical PD Lead Engineer

Position: Mechanical PD Lead Engineer

Location: Sunnyvale CA 100% Onsite (in Quest Global Office)

Looking for people with a combination of consumer electronics and industrial equipment/automation or medical devices background.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design fixtures and electromechanical systems for internal system validation team use
• Develop comprehensive system and subsystem level test specifications manage and execute test plans and provide feedback to development teams
• 2D and 3D CAD modeling and drafting.
• Work closely with crossfunctional team members and clients to produce high quality engineering solutions
• Create and maintain Bill of Materials and similar project documents
• Other administrative functions as required

Minimum Qualification:

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 510 years of experience in System Validation role for consumer electronics or related field
• Skilled in reading and interpreting electric electronic and mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Experience using Perforce for EE and Siemens NX for CAD
• Strong written and oral communication skills the ability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and nontechnical personnel.
• Experience in technical documentation and report generation.
• Basic networking/communication knowledge (such as Modbus RS232 RS485 Ethernet protocols) required.

Desired Skills:

• People with a combination of consumer electronics and industrial equipment/automation or medical devices background are usually a good fit for this type of role.
• Tool and fixture design and GD &T
• Experience with Lean manufacturing practices (Kanban PokeYoke JIT Value Stream Mapping)
• Design and application knowledge of ergonomic and machine safety standards

Experience with panel design motion and motor control systems and logic controller programming HMI C# Python C using SoC and DRY techniques is a plus
