Position: Registered Nurse Cardiac Cath Lab (Nursing)
Pay Rate: $90/hr
Location: Rochester NY
Shift: 10hr Day
Description / Comment :
- MondayFriday four 10 hour shifts 7am5:30pm
- Call requirements 810 shifts/month
- MUST COME WITH CATH LAB EXPEREINCE we will not accept someone with IR experience only.
Duties:
- Assessment Skills: Competent knowledge of all normal stages of growth and development from Pediatric to Geriatric. Performs thorough systematic comprehensive and accurate assessments.
- Clinical Skills: Demonstrates competent clinical skills. Provides appropriate nursing care to the units population. Demonstrates knowledge and skill of emergency equipment and procedures.
- Documentation: Maintains complete and accurate documentation according to guidelines. Assumes primary responsibility for documenting components of the nursing process and patients progress in the chart.
- Professionalism: Demonstrates professional practice responsibility knowledge of policies and procedures and identifies areas for clinical and professional growth.
- Patient Satisfaction: Responds to patients/families and coworkers professionally courteously and positively. Maintains confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines.
- Safety: Follows National Patient Safety Goals including Universal Protocol. Demonstrates safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics for self and patients.
- Unit Specific Job Function: Demonstrates knowledge of conditions/diagnoses procedures and equipment for surgical patients. Individualizes patient care according to procedure and anesthesia type.
- Responsibility and Accountability: Assumes responsibility and accountability for directing patient care prioritizing based on patient needs and condition changes.
- Patient Education and Chart Completion: Assesses patient understanding of surgical procedure/instructions involves patients and family members in teaching. Performs preoperative and postoperative assessment and education.
- Duties Specific to PAT RN: Supports completion of patient testing in a timely manner. Evaluates Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders for appropriateness and potential omissions.
Physical Requirements: As defined by Occupational Safety/OMS
Skills Required:
- 2 years critical care experience
- RN License
- BLS
- ACLS
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Associates or Bachelors Degree (Preferred)
