Job Description 2: Network Engineer (Industrial Automation)
Company: Leading Automation Solutions Provider
Location: Qatar Doha
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Network Engineer to join our team and support the delivery of industrial automation projects. You will be responsible for designing implementing and maintaining secure networks for our DeltaV and IT systems.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement wired and wireless networks for industrial automation and IT systems.
- Install and administer Windows servers and DeltaV systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network and system hardware and software issues.
- Participate in customer workshops to understand network requirements and design solutions.
- Develop network architecture and cybersecurityrelated documentation.
- Perform firstline customer support for network and system issues.
- Continuously learn and stay updated on the latest network technologies and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in network administration with a focus on industrial automation networks.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking protocols and technologies.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g. HyperV).
- Proficiency in network troubleshooting methodologies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with industrial automation protocols (e.g. OPC Modbus).
- Experience with Cisco networking and CompTIA certifications (CCENT/CCNA Network).
- Experience with cybersecurity principles and best practices (CompTIA Security).
- Experience working in the Middle East and Africa region.
