HEAD OF SCHOOL / PRINCIPAL (South West)
Position Overview: The Head of School / Principal is a senior leadership
position responsible for the overall management and administration of the college a coeducational secondary school in IleIfe Osun State. The Head of School will provide strategic leadership foster an environment of
academic excellence oversee staff development ensure effective communication and marketing and manage the overall wellbeing of students and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Vision:
- Develop and communicate a clear vision and mission for the school's educational and cultural development.
- Provide strategic direction and inspire a culture of continuous improvement among staff students and stakeholders.
- Foster a positive and collaborative school climate that promotes innovation and student success.
- Academic Excellence:
- Oversee the development and implementation of a rigorous and comprehensive curriculum aligned with national and international standards.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning to ensure academic excellence and student achievement.
- Implement effective assessment and evaluation practices to measure student progress.
- Pastoral Care:
- Create a supportive and inclusive school environment that promotes the social emotional and mental wellbeing of students.
- Implement effective pastoral care programs to address student needs and concerns.
- Collaborate with staff and parents to ensure a safe and nurturing learning environment.
- Staff Professional Development:
- Provide leadership and support for the professional growth and development of teaching and nonteaching staff.
- Coordinate and facilitate professional development workshops seminars and training opportunities.

- Encourage innovation and best practices in teaching and school management.
- Communication and Marketing:
- Develop and execute strategies to effectively communicate with parents students staff and the broader community.
- Oversee marketing initiatives to promote the school's strengths achievements and programs.
- Maintain a strong online and offline presence to engage stakeholders and attract prospective students.
- General Administration:
- Manage the daytoday operations of the school including budgeting financial management and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant educational regulations policies and standards.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records related to students staff and school activities.
- Community Engagement:
- Build and nurture positive relationships with parents community leaders and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with external organizations and partners to enhance educational opportunities for students.
Qualifications and Experience:

- A Master's degree in Education or a related field
- Proven experience in educational leadership preferably as a Principal or Head of School. Proven record as deputy head of school also acceptable
- Strong understanding of curriculum development pedagogical approaches and educational best practices.
- Excellent communication interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead motivate and develop a diverse team of educators and support staff.
- Knowledge of educational technology and its integration into teaching and learning.
- Familiarity with relevant educational regulations and standards.
